A RTB mortgage on a high rise flat

A specialist residential mortgage case study


The customer wanted to purchase their property under the right to buy scheme.  The open market value of the property was £100k and the customer was eligible for a 50% discount.


The property was a flat on the 8th floor of a high rise and many lenders will not lend on this property type.


Brightstar were able to place the case with a lender who offered 50% LTV meaning that the client received 100% of the discounted purchase price.  The rate offered was 6.37%.
