We are pleased to see Tom Ballington, our ‘Sport champion of the year’, chosen for the Essex U17 cricket squad.
Tom is a local cricket player and we help cover the cost for some equipment, clothes and help towards travel costs.
He also captained Shenfield Cricket Academy to the National Cup Semi Final, losing out to Millfield. He toured with the school to Cape Town in February and was awarded batsmen of the tour where he scored an unbeaten 75 against Stellenburg High School.
He has been a part of Essex Elite Spin Academy with John Childs and has recently been chosen for the Essex U17 squad. They have completed their winter training and matches start in May.
